Lombardi Ranch

We took our annual family trip to Lombardi Ranch on Friday. We had been sick with colds all week, but were mostly feeling better.  Little did we know we’d spend the night in the emergency room with a child so sick he couldn’t breathe!  He’s fine now- just a little scary at the time.  I have to say- Henry Mayo ER staff was awesome. They were so sweet to us- they took us back right away & didn’t even make us wait in the waiting room. Canyon was on a hospital bed within 2 minutes of our arrival.  The Dr. was thorough, kind and SO informative. That was my first experience with the emergency room and I have to say, I was quite pleased. I don’t want to go back ever again…but the people were great!

LombardiI didn’t think to grab my camera on the way to the ER, but I wish I would have.  Canyon looked so small lying in that hospital bed. It was so so sad & I wish I could have taken a photo to remember it (in my Project 365). Plus, after all was said & done, Canyon said, “I wish I could go back to the hospital again. That bed was so cool!”  🙂

emily - Hallie- we’re on the mend now. Canyon is still not feeling great.
