Still My Baby.

Keagan woke up several times in the middle of the night last night. Funny how that happens when you’re already waking up several times in the middle of the night to feed the baby. They are already learning to take turns- Chloe would wake up, then Keagan and so on…  But I didn’t mind.  I LOVE holding my babies. They won’t be little for very long. In fact, just 2 weeks ago I remember thinking to myself, “I love this age (Keagan’s). He’s still so little and cuddly and babyish.” Fast forward 2 weeks and my perspective has changed. Suddenly Keagan is a giant. He really looks like a GIANT BABY. His head is 2 or 3 times the size of Chloe’s. He’s learning to talk and climb and he understands what we tell him, he’s getting into things he never even noticed before… he’s growing up.  So when he wakes up crying in the middle of the night because he has a fever and he can’t breathe through his nose, I’m happy to hold him and rock him and cuddle with him for a while, even if I’ve already been up 3 times before….. he’s still my baby and I like him a lot.
