Pukefest 2010.

**Updated:  Did I mention that Loretta escaped in our hotel room the night Keagan started throwing up?  It was fun to try to find a tiny little hamster whilst cleaning up the goo.  🙂 **

Have I mentioned that we get the stomach flu a lot?  Well, with 7 of us in the house it’s kind of inevitable that one of us will get sick. However, this particular strain of virus is not welcome in my home! So… it followed us to San Diego. Keagan was the first to get it (Tuesday morning- so I’m guessing he picked it up at church). Followed by me, Canyon & James. It was pretty mild for all of us but Canyon, poor guy. It was actually fine. We were able to go to Legoland on Monday and the Padres game on Saturday. In between we just relaxed, shopped, visited the beach and did some schoolwork.  I was able to read an entire book (Jane Eyre- one of my very favorites) and James was able to work one day. It was relaxing and fun. What more could I ask for? And the bonus is- I didn’t have to do any laundry. With each “mishap” (that’s what we’ll call it), I just called downstairs for new sheets. Yay.

Update on Chloe:  She’s now crawling (army style) and has 2 teeth. She is teething like crazy, though & it’s making her a little cranky. 🙁

He just wanted to watch “IghtEar” (Translation: Lightyear) all day long while he was sick. This boy is OBSESSED with Buzz Lightyear. Any time we pass anything in the store with Toy Story on it (which is every store, every aisle these days), he just SCREAMS out “IGHT-EAR! IGHT-EAR!”

The aquarium at Legoland. It only takes about 20 minutes to get through the entire thing. It’s cute and well done, but don’t save a lot of time for it at the end of your Legoland day. It’s a quick tour.

She’s On the move…

The Padre’s game was fun. It’s such a beautiful stadium- very clean, very friendly and these seats were only $10- with a sandpit in the front for the kids to play. It was about 100○ that day so we didn’t stay long.
And there you have it. Our annual family vacation to San Diego- a little different than years past, but still fun 🙂

Dena - I can relate about the stomach flu. We seem to have it more than anyone we know..People tease me about it.. CARI? Matter of fact I been up since 3 am today cleaning up puke. For the first time I had 2 children puking at the same time.. Three down.. Three to go.. that is unless God has favor on the rest of us.. which is what I am praying for. God answers prayer .. right?

Cari - One of these days all you gals are gonna come crawling to me begging for some black cohosh and I’m gonna be like…”NO!!” Because I’m generous like that. Sorry about the vomit though.
