Happy Mother’s Day

A very Happy Mother’s Day (late) to all the moms out there.

I had quite an incredible day. The kids brought me breakfast in bed- a fun family tradition. Although, can you believe that after all these years and tons of "breafasts in bed" we STILL don’t have a breakfast in bed tray? I should add that to my list of things to buy!
The Kids bought me The Legend of Zelda for the Wii. James bought me Adobe Lightroom for my photos.
Needless to say- they may never see me again. If you need to find me, I’ll be staring at my television or my computer.
I have one thing to say about the photo above. Moms out there- get in front of the camera! Believe me- I CRINGE to think that I’ve just woken up, I have no makeup on, I’m 40 pounds overweight, the list goes on… but my kids don’t care about all that stuff. They just love me. Like I JUST LOVE my mom. I don’t care what she looks like or what she wears. she’s my mom. She’ll always be beautiful to me. And you know what?  I wish I had more pictures of her.
I have a special relationship with my kids and if I don’t get in front of the camera every now & then- no on will ever know it! SO that’s my command to you today. Hand the camera over to someone else & let them take some photos of you with your kids. You’ll be SO thankful one day- and so will your kids!
Enjoy your Tuesday. I will be sleeping because little man K cried from 7pm- 12am last night- finally fell asleep and woke up again at 3am & 6am. I’m tired. and a little grumpy:)

Mommy & Kennedy’s DAY – OF – FUN!

Today I took Kennedy on a little date. Just the 2 of us- no boys allowed!  First stop… Starbucks, of course!  Next stop- pedicures. No luck with the pedi’s though- they were booked. We made a quick trip to Michael’s to look at the toys and the scrapbooking section, then we went to get Kennedy’s VERY FIRST HAIRCUT! That’s right! 3 years old and she’s never had her hair cut. She did such a great job and, if you can believe it, she’s even cuter than ever 🙂 I know- I’m a little partial.

A Mother’s Day Gift Idea

I made this SUPER SIMPLE Mother's Day gift for both my mom & my mother-in-law today. I thought I'd share just in case any of you haven't found that "perfect gift" yet.  It's so easy to make and it's really cute too. **This idea came from a VERY talented woman. You can see more of her talent Here : http://thompsonfamily.typepad.com/thompson_familylife/

I picked up this business card holder at Target. It will hold 21 photos sized 3.25 by 2.  I added a rub-on on the front- that's it!

slide in your photos and you're done! Hope you try this- it's a cute gift to make for yourself, too. Maybe I'll make one to keep in my purse- I never have photos of my kids!

Oh, Mom- in case you see this early- Happy Mother's Day. Sorry to ruin the surprise 🙂
