Some Stuff.

Our niece, Alysa, moved in with us for the summer. We ♥ her. She is amazing. I’m old news- the kids want to play with her  all. the. time. And she loves to play with them, too! Kennedy might be a tiny bit obsessed with her.

Somebody’s getting chubby. And no, it’s not me 🙂

She LOVES her daddy kisses. She laughs out loud- it’s cute 🙂 She is officially sleeping 12 hours at night. woot. woot.

In other news… we are almost done with school and gearing up for summer. Right now we’re finishing up The Railway Children by Edith Nesbit. I love it, the kids love it. It’s a good read. I’m planning to read at LEAST 5 books out loud to the kids this summer. Any recommendations? Please leave a comment- I’d love to hear some ideas. That’s goal #1.  I’m planning to read at LEAST 5 books of my own this summer. I’m planning to visit the pool several times a week (with the kids, of course), I’m planning to purge, organize and deep clean my ENTIRE house this summer, and I’m planning to organize and get ready for school next year (chore charts, lesson plans, daily schedules, etc.). Too lofty?  We’ll see 🙂

sara - I’m dying. I’m in love with the dangling legs photo. I want those legs. Not on my body, that would be weird, but I’d like to squeeze them a little. And oh my, your niece has grown. I remember her when she was just an itty bitty. 🙂

april - Funny our goals are almost exactly the same. The only difference is you will probably accomplish them because I will be too distracted with everything outdoors and not in my home. Do audible books listened to in the car on the way to the beach still count? I say yes. Can we join you at the pool?

sara - So I keep coming back to look at the dangling leg picture. Is that weird? I’m going to have to steal that shot from you when my nephew comes…if that’s OK?? I love it.

emily - Steal away, Sara. In my opinion, there are no unique ideas anymore, just everyone’s take on everyone else’s old ideas. 🙂
