So…. we’ve been away- Again. This time I chose NOT to my check email for the week & just RELAX. I needed it. It’s been a VERY VERY busy photo season… along with all the sickness, etc… makes for a very tired pregnant mama. And, as Canyon has informed us…my love of naps is calling me. Sunday afternoon naps are the best!
Canyon had to write a few sentences using nouns that name people. So here’s what he wrote:
My brother likes to read.
My dad likes to work.
My mom likes to nap.
🙂 Really? That’s all they see me do in the 24 hours a day I’m with them? I said to Canyon, “Couldn’t you have written.. ‘My mom likes to take pictures’? ” He said, “No. That’s way too many words.” I guess that makes me feel better:)

That’s how Pearson decides what sentences to write too. He always says, “How can I say that but shorter?”.
A very perceptive young man!
We took our annual family trip to Lombardi Ranch on Friday. We had been sick with colds all week, but were mostly feeling better. Little did we know we’d spend the night in the emergency room with a child so sick he couldn’t breathe! He’s fine now- just a little scary at the time. I have to say- Henry Mayo ER staff was awesome. They were so sweet to us- they took us back right away & didn’t even make us wait in the waiting room. Canyon was on a hospital bed within 2 minutes of our arrival. The Dr. was thorough, kind and SO informative. That was my first experience with the emergency room and I have to say, I was quite pleased. I don’t want to go back ever again…but the people were great!
I didn’t think to grab my camera on the way to the ER, but I wish I would have. Canyon looked so small lying in that hospital bed. It was so so sad & I wish I could have taken a photo to remember it (in my Project 365). Plus, after all was said & done, Canyon said, “I wish I could go back to the hospital again. That bed was so cool!” 🙂

I swore off that place a long time ago, but it looks like you all had so much fun I’m considering it now.
Hallie- we’re on the mend now. Canyon is still not feeling great.
Cari- The trick is to go EARLY in the morning and only stay for 1 hour.
Did Canyon have croup? We were in ER with Ian a few night ago with that. Hope he’s continue to heal well.

This is probably one of my favorite “couple shots” ever. Aren’t they beautiful together? And look at this little girl. I wanted to take her home with me- she & Kennedy would get along well- I could just tell! All of their kids were just gorgeous! I’m so blessed with beautiful clients:)
