Project Life 2011.

In 2009 I decided to start a “little” adventure called “Project 365. I wasn’t sure if I could keep up with it, but I liked the idea of getting my photos printed and journaling at least a little something instead of nothing at all.  And guess what? I did it! At that time I had 4 children and found out I was pregnant with #5. We had 2 businesses, one of which I was Principal- my photography business and one of which I was CFO.  I was homeschooling 3 of our children,Kindergarten, 1st grade and 2nd grade. And I completed it! I’m not bragging, don’t take this the wrong way- I’m just saying it can be done.

Last year, 2011 was even busier. We found out early on that I was pregnant with baby #6. In October, we had baby #6 and spent 2 weeks in the NICU and the rest of the year trying to keep him healthy (unsuccessfully). Above is an entire year of our family memories- all of 2011 is documented. My photos are printed and able to be viewed by anyone who walks into my living room- they’re not stuck on my computer hidden from the world. I LOVE this project- it’s achievable, it’s not burdensome, it’s beautiful, it’s COMPLETE!  And we look at it almost every week. My kids love to look through them- I keep them in my family room on the coffee table (bottom shelf). Another bonus- if Chloe happens to rip a page or color on one or anything else she might do (we don’t call her catastrophe for nothing!), I can simply reprint the photo or re-write the journal card. I don’t have to remake an entire layou

So… if you want to get your family photos printed and document your life this year…. Project Life is the way to go! I’m living proof that it CAN be done!  Go here:  www.beckyhiggins.com

Sierra - This is amazing Emily! Not only a creative outlet for you, but what a special blessing for your family as well. You have inspired me and I’ve decided to attempt this for the next year. We’ll see how I do!

emily - Sierra- I’m so excited you’re going to try it. For me, life is moving so fast- when I look through this album it’s like I get to re-live it and relish in it just a little more. We look through these albums and reminisce all the time- I love it!
