DaddyMania.

The kids and the daddy have a FAVORITE activity.  It’s loud and it’s crazy and the mama-bear in me gets a little nervous and thinks, “oh, this is too dangerous…somebody’s going to get hurt…”  But I just have to let that go because it happens pretty much every night in our house, usually right before bed.  This particular morning the Wrestle-mania took place in the middle of our family room because the couches were already out of the way from the scrapbook-mania the night before.

Can you see Chloe in the background just begging for some action?  She and Kennedy just happen to be the most fearless in our household. Don’t get me wrong, the boys can hold their own, but the girls… they’re ruthless!

Cari - Daddys ARE gifted in that arena. Reason number 201 why I’m glad I’m a girl.

Hallie - I’m not sure but I think you have an extra kid in there! You might want to be more careful and count them before you wrestle.

emily - We just can’t keep track anymore. Sometimes we accidentally come home from the grocery store with an extra kid. Better to pick one up than leave one there, right?

Mary - At least the extra kid is a cute one. 🙂

I’ve been quiet.

I really have been missing, haven’t I?  Well… it’s been a busy month. Lots of birthdays, lots of “adventures”, lots of, well you know, LIFE.  Here’s a little look at what we’ve been up to..
James took the boys to Arizona for spring training.  They had a blast!  He took the ghetto camera so I’m sorry for the photo quality 🙂

We took Keagan to Disneyland for his 3rd birthday! He’s not actually 3 yet, but we took him early to miss the “Spring Break” crowds.

Keagan pretty much walked around with his hands on his ears. Everything was “too loud.”  He wasn’t very fond of the rides & I’m pretty sure we traumatized  him on the roller coaster. But he loved The Small World ride 🙂

Uncle Brian came to visit for the Shepherd’s Conference & was able to spend the morning with us.  We had so much fun- the kids just ADORE him. He’s such a FUN uncle. They played Blokus & lots of TACKLING & TICKLING!

Dueling iPhones.  Starfall vs. Angry Birds I’m sure.

I think this picture speaks volumes about our “everyday” life. (Below).  Our homeschool room.. Butterflies waiting to change, hamster in the bottom right corner, lacing beads, maps, globes, older ones helping the younger ones…I just love it!  This photo just makes me happy 🙂

Keagan really enjoys playing in the crib with Chloe. It’s so cute to see the 2 of them together. Makes my heart smile.  ♥

Hallie - There’s my friend! Do you know I still haven’t met your hamster…SO sad about that!

Sara - stop being so quiet.

Praise.

Lord, I’m Yours. Whatever the cost may be, may Your will be done in my life. I realize I’m not here on earth to do my own thing, or to seek my own fulfillment or my own glory. I’m not here to indulge my desires, to increase my possessions, to impress people, to be popular, to prove I’m somebody important, or to promote myself. I’m not even here to be relevant or successful by human standards. I’m here to please You.

-From 31 Days of Praise by Ruth Myers (and also straight from my heart).

Kelli - AMEN to that. I love that book–I feel like she’s writing straight to my heart, everyday. 🙂 It’s a great place to be…. SURRENDERED, isn’t it? What a incredible peace, that only God can give us, when we’re right where HE wants us. Miss you my friend. Love you!

Jason Worsley - You made me think of two verses:

9So whether we are at home or away, we make it our aim to please him. II Cor. 5:9

and he died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for him who for their sake died and was raised. II Cor. 5:15

Does anyone blog anymore?

Just curious.  Facebook is taking over the world. But this is still a better place to display photos. ♥
