Snug Harbor

I’ve been cleaning up my computer files and I came across this little nugget- One of my favs from 2007. Reminds me of a cold, rainy day when we went to work with James and ate at one of our favorite little spots "Snug Harbor" where they bring you a blanket if you are cold.. oh, and the food is Delicious, too! We LOVE breakfast! Random, I know.

And speaking of cleaning up my computer- Have you purchased an External Hard Drive yet?  If not.. EVERYONE (meaning Best Buy, Staples, Circuit City, etc) is advertising 500GB External Hard Drives for about $125.00! That’s a great deal – If your hard drive crashes and all your photos are gone- you’ll be sorry you didn’t run right out and buy one 🙂  Well, this almost NEVER happens, but all 3 of my kiddos are STILL asleep! It’s 7:30am- I’ve been up since 4:45am. SO I’ve had almost 3 hours of uniterrupted planning, cleaning, reading, blogging, coffee…. What a great start to my day! Hope you have a great day, too!

Look Mom! I’m finally organized!

It took me a LONG time, but I’m finally caught up on my organizing- well, in my office at least! There is now a place for everything & everything in it’s place (for the most part). Now I can scrapbook without any hesitation. If anyone out there is as obsessive about organizing as I am- you can relate. I have a hard time doing something fun (like scrapbooking) until the rest of my house is clean. It’s a curse. But now that the hard part is done- I can play! Except tonight I have to work 🙁 Maybe I can play tomorrow.

If anyone is up for a challenge, Big Picture Scrapbooking is hosting a LOAD (that’s Layout a day) contest for the month of January. You can sign up for free & every day that you upload a layout in the month of January, you are entered to win a prize. At the end of the 31 days if you’ve submitted 31 layouts, you are entered to win the Grand Prize- I can’t remember what it is:)  I’m doing it- so far I’ve created one layout & I’m getting ready to post my 2nd. Hope some of you can join, too. It’s fun & a great way to catch up on your scrapbooking! I love a challenge! Until next time…..

Christmas Recap

So, some people have been hinting that it’s been a while since I last blogged… I’ll try to catch up in one big post.  Cade turned 6 on December 18th- I can’t believe I have a 6 year old- it just can’t be!  My mom & dad came to visit from Ohio from the 20th- the 28th. James’ parents came during that time as well. We had a busy household for Christmas but it was nice since we don’t get to see our families very often. It was so nice to spend some time with my mom & dad- I only get to see them about once every year.

Aunt Hallie & Uncle Danny came down to see us- they gave Cade the coolest toy for his birthday. The boys are thoroughly enjoying it (especially since mommy made the best maze ever!)

We took Cade to Mimi’s for breakfast and then to the movies. We had our Bible Study Christmas party that night & Auntie Christine made YUMMY cupcakes with "Happy Birthday Cade" in blue icing. So cute!

The Little Lites (Our church children’s choir) had a performance and all 3 of my little ones were in it this year. I was torn between the video camera and the SLR! Speaking of video cameras… my very generous and sweet husband bought me a new HD video camera for Christmas this year. I’ve been taking so much video, my poor Canon I’m sure feels neglected.

The boys could actually read the tags this year- made it a little easier for us:)
