Our New Addition

Construction This is our new upstairs addition. A 5th bedroom- actually, it’s a playroom/ schoolroom/ media room. They have framed it, added electrical & soundproofed it- now we just need a little drywall. Can’t wait!

I’ll add more photos as we make more progress. I need a wider lens!

We’re off on a church camping trip this weekend so no computer for me 🙁  It will be hard, but I think I can make it. Have a great weekend!

Blog Banners

I’m really enjoying creating new blog banners (the banner at the top of my blog ). it’s a small project so I can do it in just a few minutes, but it lets me be creative and have a little "time out" from everyday stuff.  That quote above is my very favorite quote. I keep it posted around my house. It helps me remember that my kids (ages 5, 4 and 2) won’t be small forever. It helps me to live in the moment, to enjoy the process (hence my blog name) to not be so caught up in the "rush" of life, to listen to their stories (that sometimes last for several minutes), to smile at them, to stop what I’m doing and really pay attention to what they have to say because it’s REALLY important, to delight in the things they delight in (like Star Wars and Legos), to not be so concerned about having time for myself- I’ll have plenty of that later in life, I’m sure. And then I’ll miss the little dirty footprints on my wood floors and i’ll miss having to strap them in to their carseats, and I’ll miss buttoning their pants for them and cleaning up their spills. I probably won’t miss cleaning the toilet in my boys’ bathroom though 🙂

the dirty footprints I was telling you about..

Happy Mother’s Day

Just back from a week of fun and relaxing in Newport Beach. I want to go back every year! This could be "The Vacation Spot"- we loved it!  We hit Balboa Island/ Fun Zone (great for photos), Crystal Cove where the kids enjoyed the tide pools with sea anene..amene…anemem (said in my best NEMO voice), Laguna Beach at the Montage Resort, Victoria Beach with it’s beautiful "castle", lots of laying by the pool and watching movies. It’s hard to come back on Mother’s Day and have to unpack. Well, here are a few photos I snapped along the way. Enjoy!
