Home Again.

We’ve been gone for the past 10 days- visiting family in Seattle 😉  It was a fun road trip- the kids did amazingly well considering they were stuck in the car for 18 hours each way. We actually came home on Sunday, but I still don’t feel caught up. It’s been a long, sleepy week for me.  I did, however, manage to make a meal plan for the next 2 weeks and make monkey bread with my kids! They loved it. It’s so much fun & very kid friendly- and yummy to eat 🙂  post a comment if you want the recipe.

I’ll post some pix of our trip up North just as soon as I edit them 🙂  Until then- a photo of our monkey bread and of our 3 little monkeys! 🙂

Just Playing Around

Well- I sat down to scrapbook tonight & realized I needed a few photos. So I chose a few, made some adjustments in Photoshop and loaded my photo paper to print. I didn’t get much farther than that. My printer started leaking ink from the cartridges for some reason & after changing 3 ink carts. I gave up. So I played with some photos in CS2 for a little while.

Here is one with a "vintage" feel.

I think I’ll call it a day. It’s been a long one!

Playing Catch Up

Messy_copyFor those of you who think my house is never messy- this was my office yesterday. See? I can make a mess, too!

I can only live with it for so long, though. Today there is no mess- well, not as much 🙂

Well, it has officially been 8 weeks since we started our "little" construction project. We’re almost finished…. just need our french doors, my lights in my office and my drawers in my office. Not too much to wait for & in the mean time I can rearrange & start getting the playroom ready.

Canyon_runningToday we went out surveying with James. Seriously my FAVORITE thing to do. I was out pretty late last night & we had to be up by 5am so I was pretty tired, but it was SO worth it.

The boys just LOVE to help daddy work. They insisted on wearing their "survey shirts" (which are just orange polo shirts). I captured this photo of the boys following James- Canyon is SO into it 🙂

BatgirlKennedy was grumpy pants this morning. She cried about everything- until about 8am- then she was her normal, happy self.

We drove through Santa Monica, Cheviot Hills, Brentwood and Bel Air. There is so much to see in L.A.  I love it here- so much culture- so much to do. I want to just drive around (without the kids) one day and stop every time I see something that looks fun. Just be spontaneous and have fun. Anyone else want to do that with me? Let’s plan a day!

Look how happy Canyon is (in the photo below). There’s really not much he’d rather do than go to work with daddy… well, except play Star Wars.

Wow! I think this is my longest post ever! Maybe I’ll actually post later tonight when my office is clean again:)

Until then… do something fun today. Especially if you have kids

make the mess go away, please….

I don’t think I want to do construction on my house ever again. It’s too messy. I don’t cope well with messes.  Let’s talk about something else…

The boys are taking swimming lessons from my friend, Mary. Cade is actually able to keep in face in the water for longer than a millisecond- that’s progress! Img_8273

well, I’m tired and I need some sleep- I’m grumpy!

Until next time.
